Darkest of days

Hoping this night will turn into a day

Hopes and dreams are taken away

Looking for stars to the starless sky

Weak and powerless I’m longing for light.

Walls all around, closed all the doors,

Down to my knees, I’ve fallen to the floor.

Dark wings descend, shadows of fear

Blinded I am, but I’ll shed no more tears

Days aren’t breaking, too long these nights,

Will there be a tomorrow? Nothing looks so bright.

The world upside down, back against the wall

But it’s not the day to die, not at all.

Being too long in the shadow, as the light never comes

I get used to the darkness, it's never too dark after all,

Black gets vivid, when the night gets old,

Sleepless I’m crawling, until the sun unfolds.

Finally, one day, the sun was rising,

But I made darkness my own,

too late, for your arriving!
