The knock I've ignored

The knock I've ignored everyday,
A knock on my door, a knock on my window,
May be an old lady for a little compassion
Or a smiling little girl with a rose in her hand.

I ignored a friend until he's no more
I ignored like a stone, like a selfish moron.
I ignored the knock within,
a chime from a distant shore.

I wonder how long can I ignore them ...

We're ignoring our calls from the other side every single day ...
every single breath ..
A call from our death ...
